Hank Aaron – His Life, Family, Baseball, and Memorabilia

On this week’s episode, we’re back with a great baseball story – sharing with you the life, family, baseball career and memorabilia of the legend – Hammerin’ Hank Aaron!

Hank was in the major leagues for 23 seasons from 1954 to 1976. For 7 of those seasons, his younger Brother, Tommie, played alongside him on the Braves. The two even share an MLB record together having the most home runs between brothers in MLB history.

One of the biggest accomplishments Hank had was in breaking Babe Ruth’s home run record of 714 which he did on April 8, 1974. Leading up to that feat, Hank struck a multi-year endorsement deal worth a cool million dollars from the Magnavox Company who produced commemorative bats especially for special occasion.

So, grab some popcorn or peanuts – maybe even a dog or two – and join us for a few innings as talk about one of the greatest baseball players who ever lived – Hank Aaron. There are tons to learn here and plenty of great memorabilia we’ll be sharing – right here on History and Relics!
