Hank Gowdy, Greatest Catcher Not in the Baseball Hall of Fame, First Major Leaguer to Enlist in WWI

On this week’s episode, we’re featuring Hank Gowdy who was a member of the 1914 World Series the “Miracle” Boston Braves team. He was considered by many to be the best catcher not elected to Hall of Fame. He was also the first active major league player to enlist in WWI and the only non-Hall of Famer to serve in both WWI and WWII.
