Having Fun in New York City, Manhattan and Times Square at Christmas.

We had such a fun time in NYC this past weekend and would like to share a bit of it with all of you! Come with us as we explore New York City and see such sites as Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, and NBC Studios. We’ll watch some ice skating at Bryant Park and stop by Rockefeller Center to see this year’s Christmas tree.

This year's Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is a 74-foot Norway spruce from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It’s the first tree to hail from the state since 1959. The tree topper this year is a 900-pound Swarovski star designed by architect Daniel Liebeskind. The star itself is over 9 feet tall, has 70 spikes, and more than 3 million crystals lit up with LED lights.

From there, we’ll be heading to the Top of the Rock! That’s right, we’ll be on top of Rockefeller Center seeing the wonderful NYC skyline views. We’ll also be catching up on some shopping at Sak’s Fifth Avenue where we get stopped in our tracks by a 100ct diamond! Yes – a 100 Ct. And right next door is the beautiful St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

And let’s not forget about food. We visit Juniors for a cup of hot chocolate and a slice of delicious strawberry cheesecake. We also stop into Pig ‘N’Whistle for a great dinner that includes a pasta dish and buffalo wings.

It’s a fun time for all and we invite you to come along with us as we dance in the streets of NYC – only here on History and Relics.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas to all.
