On today’s episode, we’re traveling to Middlefield, Ohio located in the northeastern part of the state. There is some great countryside here with plenty of farmland. Many residents in this area are Amish, so it’s always a neat place to visit for fresh bake goods, cheeses, and an array of hand-crafted items.
But another thing Middlefield is known for – is its annual Antique Steam and Gas Engine – Train/Locomotive Railroad Show. You’ll see everything from Stanley Steamers to Reid Engines and everything in-between. It’s one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the area. And unlike most shows that simply have these machines on display, here, they are doing what they do best – they’re actually running, and some are actually put to work. It really gives you a good prospective of what they did and how they operated in the early 1900s.
So, climb aboard and let us show you around on this episode of history and Relics.
